Though Javi's background is in traditional martial arts and boxing, he has spent recent years exploring slower disciplines with the intention of creating a more balanced practice. Now Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, gymnastics and calisthenics are all integral in his training. 

When he is teaching, the emphasis is on technical skills, anatomical precision, mindful movement, body awareness and functional strength. Thus creating a fun and dogma-free environment with the focus on freedom of movement, grace and long-lasting health.
